Clark County, NV (KTNV) -- Clark County officials were called to a drowning incident in Las Vegas.
It happened Sunday around 5:40 p.m. in the 2600 block of Topaz Square, near Desert Inn and Eastern.
Las Vegas police told Action News the family went outside and found their 1-year-old in the pool.
The toddler was transported to Sunrise Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A family friend told Action News the little boy's name was Krymson and shared a photo of him. They said somehow the boy got out of the house and into the backyard pool.
The family friend is speaking out because he doesn't want anyone else in the Valley to go through this kind of pain.
"I think everybody should have at least a pool guard or something, maybe a fence around the pool. It'd be best because this is unbelievable," expressed Mauricio Cordero.
Police said no foul play was suspected.
Officers with the Abuse and Neglect Unit are investigating the incident, which is routine in these types of cases.
Action News will post more information as it becomes available.
