Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police officers were called to break up a brawl between soccer fans at Sam Boyd Stadium on Wednesday night.

120 officers from four different jurisdictions were on hand after a brawl took place, involving 200 to 400 people before a soccer game at the stadium. Police said bottles and rocks were being thrown.

However, no arrests were made.

The fight happened around 7:15 p.m.

Six people were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Fans weren't allowed in the stadium until the situation was under control. They were let inside around 8:15 p.m., that was about 15 minutes after the game was scheduled to start.

Police were then on standby, as a precaution if violence erupted again.

The El Super Clasico 2013 match was Club America versus Chivas De Guadalajara.

The two teams have been rivals since 1943. Chivas De Guadalajara won 1-0.

Action News will post more information as it becomes available.
