Thousands turn out for annual 4th of July parade in Summerlin

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Thousands of people turned out this morning for the 19th annual Fourth of July parade in Summerlin.

Organizers estimated that 35,000 people watched 70 parade entries make their way through Summerlin.

This year, the Star Wars Death Star made an appearance.

Other entries included community organizations and marching bands.

Some of the people at the parade said that they come every year.

Gov. Brian Sandoval also made an appearance.

The parade started at the corner of Hillpointe Road and Hill Center Drive in The Trails Village of Summerlin.
