Harry Reid in Las Vegas to offer immigration reform update
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is joining Illinois Rep. Luis Gutierrez in Las Vegas to offer an update on immigration reform.
The Democratic lawmakers are scheduled to speak at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Culinary Union Local 226 Hall.
A bill that would provide a path to citizenship for those living in the country illegally passed the Senate last week on a 68-32 vote. It now heads to the Republican-led House, where it faces a tougher battle.
