Where are the best cities to celebrate the 4th of July?
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- With the 4th of July right around the corner, CardHub.com has announced its rankings for the best cities to celebrate the holiday this year.
The findings are based on a number of different metrics, including weather forecast, hotel prices and entertainment options.
Fourth of July spending is expected to be significantly higher in 2013 than in years past.
Americans are expected to spend an average of $300 on Independence Day celebrations this year; 58-percent more than the average of $190 last year.
With cost-effective festivities in mind, CardHub compared the 30 largest metropolitan areas in the United States based on the following factors:

- Weather forecast
- Price of a 3-star hotel
- Number of bars and restaurants
- Number of arts, entertainment and recreation establishments
- Traffic congestion
- Legality of fireworks
