Paula Deen facing new allegations of mistreatment
(KNTV) -- Even as she loses more corporate sponsors, celebrity chef Paula Deen is now facing more allegations of racial mistreatment by former employees.
One civil rights activist is claiming that some employees were denied a chance to advance in Deen's company because of their skin color.
The firestorm has become so big that Deen has hired crisis manager Judy Smith, who inspired the television show "Scandal."
Since admitting to racist comments in the past, Deen has been dropped by Walmart, Smithfield Foods, Caesars Entertainment and the Food Network.
They were followed by Target, Home Depot, QVC, JC Penney and K-Mart.
