Some of the bands scheduled to perform include Alaska, HaleAmanO, Oranges, Jesse Pino, The Core and Signals.
Food trucks at the party will include Slidin' Thru, Sauced, Sin City Wings and Kona Ice.
The parking lot party will begin at 6 p.m. At 10 p.m., there will be a lighting ceremony to highlight the historic theater.
The Save the Huntridge campaign was launched on June 7. The Huntridge Theater opened in 1944 and closed its doors on July 31, 2004.
Over the years, many well-known bands and performers appeared at the theater including the Beastie Boys, The Smashing Pumpkins and Sheryl Crowe.
The group behind the campaign is comprised of Michael Cornthwaite, Life is Beautiful founder Rehan Choudhry and First Friday managing partner Joey Vanas.
They are hoping to raise money to preserve the theater through a fundraising campaign IndieGoGo.
There is no cost for the party on Friday. However, their will be iPads at the event for attendees to make donations to the campaign if they would like to do so.
