Las Vegas murder suspect arrested in Fresno, Calif.

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police in Fresno., Calif., have arrested a known gang member that was wanted for a shooting on Monday at an apartment complex near Smoke Ranch Road and Tenaya Way in northwest Las Vegas.

Las Vegas police received a tip that he might be headed to Fresno and that tip paid off.

The arrest happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

Police in Fresno spent the night searching a house there for evidence to the shooting.

The suspect's name has not been released but officials say he is a member of a Fresno-based gang named The Bulldogs.

Police think he shot and killed Kenneth Mallet during an argument on Monday.

Las Vegas police officers are now on their way to California to pick up the suspect and bring him back to Las Vegas.
