1 dead, 1 injured after shooting near Bonanza & Rancho
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a murder that took place Wednesday morning near North Rancho Drive and West Bonanza Road.
The incident was reported shortly after 5 a.m. According to LVMPD, two people were shot.
One of the victims went into the 7-11 on North Rancho and reported that he had been shot.
After police arrived, they discovered another person shot in a vehicle parked at Larry's Villa Strip Club on West Bonanza Road.
Both people were transported to University Medical Center Trauma. The person found in the car was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The other person did not receive life-threatening injuries.
The police investigation indicated both victims had been involved in a physical altercation in the same location earlier in the morning. The victims left the area but later returned.
A verbal altercation between the victims and an unknown suspect(s) took place in the parking lot just prior to the shooting.
No suspects have been identified.
The Clark County coroner will release the name of the person that was killed after notification of relatives.
