Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The prosecution has rested in the hepatitis C trial involving Dr. Dipak Desai.
Now the defense will have their turn to present evidence and witnesses.
For the last month, the prosecution has been bringing in witnesses, such as former patients to the stand.
Desai is accused of creating the Valley's biggest hepatitis C outbreak, back in 2007.
Around 40,000 people were exposed to the disease.
Desai is pleading not guilty to murder, fraud and criminal neglect.
He faces life in prison if convicted.
