Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Sports injuries have been making headlines lately, raising concerns with parents about their little ones on the field or court.
The National Athletic Trainers Association and the LV Sportz Foundation teamed up to make sure young athletes are safe.
Experts were on hand to make sure parents know what to look out for.
There were also discussions about fitness, hydration, heat illness, concussions and more.
Trainers say it boils down to making sure kids have fun without getting injured.
Children ages 8 to 17 took part in the free interactive youth sports safety clinic.
It was held at the Longevity Sports Center, near the intersection of Russell Road and Eastern Avenue.
