Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A shooting turned deadly in an apartment complex parking lot Monday morning in Las Vegas.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. on the 7100 block of Smoke Ranch Road, near North Tenaya Way.
Police said the call came in after an argument broke out between two men in the parking lot. One allegedly shot the other multiple times and then ran off.
Police believe the victim lived inside of the apartments with his family. He was taken to UMC in critical condition, where he later died.
"It just terrifies me because I've got two kids. I have a six-month-old and I have a 5-year-old little girl. It's been almost a year that I've lived here in this community and this is the first time I've ever seen anything happen this serious before," said neighbor Lateesha Stewart.
Several residents were warned to stay inside their apartments following the shooting.
"Officers yelled out and said that I was not safe where I was at and that I was putting myself in danger and that I needed to get back into the house," said Erin Ramirez.
Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male, roughly 6-feet tall and 180 pounds. He has very short hair and numerous tattoos on both arms and one on the back of his neck that extends to the middle of the back of his head.
Anyone with information about the suspect or this crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
