Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A body has been located and recovered in the Virgin Basin area of Lake Mead.
The National Park Service believe it is the same 30-year-old man that went missing on Sunday after jumping into the lake for a swim.
According to park officials, a call was received at about 2 p.m. Sunday reporting that a man disappeared underwater.
Officials with the park service, Nevada Department of Wildlife and Callville Bay Marina began an immediate search.
After not being able to locate the man on Sunday, the search began again at 6 a.m. Monday.
The body was located just before 10 a.m. Monday and it was recovered at about 11 a.m.
Officials believe that alcohol may have been a contributing factor to the incident. The man was not wearing a life jacket.
This is the second incident in a week where an individual has gone missing while swimming in Lake Mead.
A 35-year-old man from Chicago went missing last Thursday. He has not been located.
The Clark County coroner will release the name of the person found Monday once the body has been recovered and identified.
