Las Vegas police officer relieved of duty
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas police officer was relieved of duty without pay this week.
This comes following a Friday summons for two felony counts of possession of controlled substance and obtaining multiple prescriptions without disclosure.
Officer Ramin Amely subsequently pled guilty to the charges in Clark County Justice Court.
Amely has been employed with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department since May 2007 and was last assigned to the Traffic Bureau.
He will appear in District Court to accept his plea agreement in September.
