(KTNV) -- Bank accounts and Twitter feeds aren't the only things that need protection from hackers.
A cyber-security firm has found major vulnerabilities that could allow hackers to access medical devices like pacemakers, anesthesia devices, monitoring stations and other life-sustaining medical equipment.
The threat is so real that even the Food and Drug Administration is taking action.
The FDA says that so far it is not aware of any patient injuries or deaths caused by hacking of medical equipment but it is looking into ways to prevent it from happening.
