Time is running out to enroll in summer school
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Time is running out for students in Clark County to enroll in summer school.
The first session started on Monday, but Tuesday, June 18, is the last day students can enroll.
The Clark County School District said thousands of kids are already back in the classroom for this first day of summer school.
Taking classes during the summer provides middle and high school students with the opportunity to make up missed credits or to get ahead by taking advantage of the courses offered, allowing students to expand upon their academic goals.
Session One of CCSD Summer School runs from June 17 through July 5. The times are 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Tuesday is the last day for kids to enroll in this summer session.
For families who want another option, there is always Session Two of CCSD Summer School, which runs from July 8 through July 25.
However, school district officials advise families not to put off trying to enroll in that session.
