Local judges, attorneys recognized for work with students
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Volunteer truancy judges and attorneys, who visit local schools to help children stay in school, were recognized on Monday for their hard work with the Truancy Diversion Project.
They have successfully held truancy court in 41 schools across the district.
The program is aimed at keeping kids in school and on track to do well in classes.
The family judges that oversee the program have also approved a plan to continue it next school year with seven new schools.
