Friends, teachers remember teen girl accidentally shot
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Another vigil was held Sunday night for the 13-year-old girl that was shot and killed recently.
Friends and former teachers of Brooklyn Mohler came together to lean on each other for support.
The gathering was held at Estelle Neal Park on Tropical Parkway, which is next to Joseph Neal Elementary -- the school that Mohler once attended.
Friends say that the 13-year-old girl was a natural leader who always had a smile on her face.
Her former teachers told Action News that even though it has been almost two years since Mohler graduated elementary school, they are still hurting from the loss but proud to see the young adults their former students have become.
Mohler was killed last Tuesday when she was accidentally shot by another teenage girl.
