Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The 13th annual Tee Up for Kids charity golf tournament was held on Thursday at Spanish Trails.
The program raises money for the Public Education Foundation, which helps the Valley's youth.
The foundation just gave away nearly $1 million in scholarships to more than 300 students for secondary education.
"We are very fortunate to have some sponsors and donors that come every year to our golf tournament. They support us. And sponsorships that go all the way up to $7,500 and that money goes to all our programs and initiatives," said Shari Scheele, vice president of development and community relations.
The program also helps out teachers with school supplies.
