Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The "Save The Huntridge" campaign will launch at 9 a.m. Friday on IndieGoGo.com.
The group behind the campaign is Huntridge Revival, LLC. It is comprised of Michael Cornthwaite, Life Is Beautiful founder Rehan Choudhry and First Friday managing partner Joey Vanas.
The partnership was established in early May in hopes of saving the historic Huntridge Performing Arts Theater on South Maryland Parkway.
The Huntridge Theater opened on Oct. 10, 1944 and closed its doors for good on July 31, 2004.
Before its closures, performers at the venue included the Beastie Boys, The Smashing Pumpkins, God Forbi, The Killers and Sheryl Crowe.
While the full details about the Indiegogo.com campaign have not been released, contribution levels will start at just $5, allowing anyone to make a donation and become a part of the effort to save the theater.
The community is encouraged to visit the Huntridge Revival tent from 5 to 11 p.m. during the First Friday event on June 7.
