Homicide investigation launched after crash in North Las Vegas
North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man that died Wednesday night following a single-vehicle car crash near Rainbow Draw Avenue and Goldfield Street appears to have been murdered.
The crash was reported at about 8:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, police officers found the driver unresponsive. He also had injuries that appeared inconsistent with the crash.
The man, believed to be about 20 years old, was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the man was driving southbound on Goldfield when he became involved in a verbal altercation with another person.
The victim was shot during the exchange and the suspect fled in an undisclosed vehicle.
The Clark County coroner's office will release the name of the victim after relatives have been notified.
