Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has released the name and photograph of the individual that was involved in a shootout with the law enforcement officials on Tuesday night.
Rene Dendaas was wanted by police in connection to a homicide case in San Bernardino, California.
LVMPD asked for the public's assistance on May 15 in locating Dendaas because he was believed to be in Las Vegas.
On Tuesday night, FBI agents and the CAT Task Force attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Dendaas.
A gunfight followed and Dendaas barricaded himself inside of an apartment at Sonoma Shadows for several hours before the standoff ended early Wednesday morning.
It was initially reported that an FBI agent was shot during the incident.
Later reports said that an agent had not been shot and no one was injured. However, the FBI's most recent press release states that it is unclear if the agent was actually shot or not.
