Officials Correct Report: No agent shot in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities in Las Vegas say a report that an FBI agent was injured in a shooting involving a homicide suspect at a Las Vegas apartment complex is incorrect.
An FBI official and Las Vegas police say several gunshots were fired from inside a unit while police and federal agents were serving an arrest warrant late Tuesday at an apartment on Karen Avenue.
FBI spokeswoman Bridget Pappas says media reports that an agent was shot in the chest but protected by a ballistic aren't correct.
She was at the scene until early Wednesday, and says no law enforcement agents were taken to a hospital.
Pappas says Las Vegas police and FBI SWAT agents took a man into custody after a standoff lasting several hours.
He hasn't been immediately identified.
