Las Vegas urology practice to pay $1 million to settle civil case
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas urology practice has agreed to pay the U.S. Department of Justice $1 million to settle civil health care fraud allegations.
Las Vegas Urology, LLP is accused of improperly billing federal health care insurance programs.
Federal investigators believe the improper billing took place between 2005 and 2010.
In the settlement agreement reached on May 17, the parties involved agreed to resolve the claims.
According to the Department of Justice, the settlement is neither an admission of liability by Las Vegas Urology nor a concession by the U.S. that it's claims are not well-founded.
