Teenager dies after theft of iPad on Thursday

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A teenager injured during a theft of an iPad on Thursday afternoon has died.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the victim was walking along West Charleston Boulevard, near the intersection of Scholl Drive, carrying an iPad when a white vehicle stopped nearby.
The passenger jumped out of the vehicle and attempted to snatch the iPad.
The victim held onto the iPad and was dragged to the vehicle. The suspect then got back into the vehicle.
It is not clear if the teenager was still holding onto the iPad or if he was being held by the suspect when the driver sped away.
The teenager fell and was struck by the vehicle. He was transported to University Medical Center Trauma in critical condition. He later died of his injuries.
The thieves were able to make off with the iPad. Their vehicle was last seen speeding west on Charleston Boulevard.
West Charleston Boulevard was shut down for several hours while police investigated the scene.
One suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s, about 6-feet tall, and between 180 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans. He has short blonde hair that was slicked back and the sides were shaved. He also had short, trimmed beard. He was the passenger.
The other suspect is identified as a black male in his mid 20s with a medium build. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a long chain necklace with a pendant. Both of his arms were sleeved with tattoos. He was the driver.
The vehicle used in the robbery is described as a white 2008 to 2010 Ford Explorer or Expedition with no license plates. It had factory running boards and tinted windows.
LVMPD is asking for the public's help. They have released photos of a person of interest and a vehicle of interest in the case.
The Clark County coroner has identified the teenager as 15-year-old Marcos Arenas of Las Vegas. He was a student at Bonanza High School. Official cause of death is still pending.
