Coroner identifies teenager killed Sunday morning in North Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified the 17-year-old teenager killed in a crash in North Las Vegas early Sunday morning as Jahlonn Williams from North Las Vegas.
Williams and his sister were traveling westbound on Washburn Avenue when 18-year-old Douglas Bruce of North Las Vegas allegedly ran the stop sign at Goldfield Street and hit Williams' car.
Williams was killed in the crash. His 13-year-old sister was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Bruce sustained minor injuries and was arrested on failure to obey a traffic control device, failure to use due car, no insurance and no registration. Bruce could face additional charges at the conclusion of the investigation.
Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash.
