Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson will seek the death penalty against Ammar Harris.
Harris is accused of fatally shooting Kenneth Cherry Jr. on the Las Vegas Strip in February, causing a crash that left two other people dead.
Police found Harris hiding out in a Southern California apartment building days later. He was extradited to Las Vegas where he remains jailed at the Clark County Detention Center.
Wolfson discussed the death penalty against Harris shortly after his arrest.
"We consider the death penalty in any murder case," said Wolfson. "But this isn't just any murder case -- this is a man that expressed severe recklessness, a disregard for human life, disregard for consequences."
Harris' felony arraignment is set for next week. Along with three murder charges, Harris faces felony charges related to discharging a firearm.
