CenturyLink service restored in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Many residential and business customers in the Las Vegas area and around the nation were hit by a massive CenturyLink outage Tuesday morning.
CenturyLink is one of the nation's largest providers of high-speed internet, phone and television services. It has approximately 5.8 million broadband subscribers.
CenturyLink tweeted Tuesday morning that they were experiencing a "service disruption" and a local representative has confirmed that there are nationwide outages.
According to the local rep, they are looking into the outage but have not been able to pinpoint the problem.
Many business and residential customers around the Valley were affected. The Las Vegas Sun newspaper took to Twitter to tell its readers that their website was down.
The Clark County School District also reported that their computers were affected.
Service was restored to the Las Vegas area around before 11 a.m.
