Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Sunday, May 5 was Cinco de Mayo, a day of celebration for people across the United States and parts of Mexico.
Singing and dancing, margaritas and guacamole, just some of the traditions used to mark the 5th of May.
Celebrations took place across Las Vegas, including one at Boulevard Mall.
The mall was transformed into a cultural festival, complete with live music and dancing.
Contrary to popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican Independence Day. It commemorates the Mexican victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
