Jump for Joy Foundation hosting camp to tackle obesity

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Jump for Joy Foundation will host the 2nd Annual Camp JUMP “Tackling Obesity” featuring Super bowl Champion Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, May 4.

Designed as a health and fitness fair for kids, Tackling Obesity makes it fun and cool to be active, healthy and fit. Rice will speak to the children about the dedication, sacrifice and motivation he used to become one of the NFL’s elite running backs. Rice will also lead participants in drills and exercises along with trainers from the Jump for Joy Foundation.

The free fitness and nutrition camp for kids ages 6 to 17 and their parents will teach the fundamentals of football, the benefits to living an active lifestyle, and maintaining a clean and balanced diet. Kids will rotate between four stations doing drills focused on the positions of Receiver, Defensive Back, Running Back and Linemen. Parents will participate in a nutritional seminar to learn how to cook clean and healthy meal for their families by Real Results Fitness.

The camp will take place at the Las Vegas Indoor Sports Center at 3055 S. Valley View Blvd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is free to participants. To register visit www.TacklingObesity.org or call (702) 331-7160.
