Cinco de Mayo popular holiday in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Cinco de Mayo is celebrated on May 5 in the United States and Mexico. The holiday is a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.

Several restaurants and bars in the Las Vegas Valley will be offering a variety of food and drink specials in honor of the holiday.

Cantina Laredo on South Rampart Boulevard is hosting an adult-focused fiesta from 6 to midnight May 4 and 5. The party will feature live music, disc jockeys, pinatas, raffles and food and drink specials.

A Cinco de Mayo festival will take place from noon to 6 p.m. May 5 at the Boulevard Mall on Maryland Parkway. The festival is fee and will feature live music, folkloric dancers and mariachi provided by Mexico Vivo Dance Company.

Dos Caminos on West Charleston Boulevard will host a Mexican street food fair May 3 to 5. The street food fair will feature stations offering food such as tacos, grilled corn, mango on a stick and more. There will also be demonstrations, mariachi music and a book signing by Chef Start.
