Motorcyclist dies after hitting fence Tuesday night

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night after hitting a fence near Kyle Canyon Road and Oso Blanca Road in the northwest part of the Valley.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. According to Las Vegas police, the 28-year-old man was riding his 2011 Honda 1300 Fury northbound on Oso Blanca when he left the road.

The motorcycle traveled down an embankment and hit a fence, ejecting the rider.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash.

The Clark County coroner's office will release the identity of the motorcyclist after relatives have been notified.

This is the 40th traffic-related fatality in as Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction this year. The crash is still under investigation.
