Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Parts of Southern Nevada could see triple-digit temperatures today for the first time this year.
Meteorologist Mike Tsolinas predicted a high of 99 degrees in Las Vegas and 100 degrees in Henderson on Monday.
At McCarran International Airport, it was already 90 degrees at 11 a.m.
By Tuesday, southwest winds are predicted to move in later on, keeping temperatures no higher than the mid-90s.
A cold front will bring a sharp drop in temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the low 80s.
Just in time for the weekend, temperatures will spike back up to the low 90s on Friday and Saturday before a slightly cooler and windy Sunday.
