Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas EMT's idea to save lives is becoming a reality.
Chris Blackburn says his "med vault" will help stop prescription drug abuse.
Brigham Young University students are building it.
The medication safe is plugged into a USB port for a pharmacist to access and load pills and then it distributes them.
The vault requires passwords from the pharmacist and from the person who needs the pills.
Students at BUY says that it is tamper proof.
