Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It's being called a heartless crime that targeted some of the most vulnerable.
Now, a local couple is behind bars in California, accused of scamming hundreds of senior citizens out of millions.
The district attorney in San Diego announced charges against Michael and Melissa Woodward of Las Vegas.
They're accused of selling phony insurance policies that supposedly would provide "unlimited services" including cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping.
A California woman said her parents were swindled out of nearly $20,000.
"My sincere hope is that on behalf of the hundreds and hundreds of victims all over the United States, that the Woodwards have emotionally and financially violated, that these victims will finally find some justice here in the San Diego Court System," said Vada Bennett.
Lawyers are still building their case and want to know if there are more victims out there.
If you think your family member was targeted call police right away.
