Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Some residents in the southwest are wondering why a busy intersection next to the new Wet 'n' Wild water park does not have a stop light.
Fort Apache and Warm Springs just has a stop sign for drivers on Warm Springs.
"If you're trying to make the turn onto the road and cars keep flying by, they need to have a stop light there," said Steven Joseph.
People who live in the area say the wait to turn is long and dangerous. And with the water park opening on Memorial Day, they fear that will mean even more traffic and danger.
"I don't really think it's that safe for people to be coming down here with their kids, without having a street light installed," said Joseph.
The county did a traffic study at that intersection in March. They said a traffic light is not needed there.
They plan to do another one once the water park opens.
