LAS VEGAS, NV (KTNV) -- An autism center for children is back open after being set on fire last week.
Sports Social near Las Vegas Boulevard and Warm Springs Road had to close their doors because an arsonist set fire to the building on April 15.
The fire damaged a front office and a classroom. But the center is using available space in their facility until the repairs can be made. They are short about $25,000 to get the place back to the way it was.
Police arrested Samuel Powers for setting the building on fire. They say Powers told them he was driving by, saw the fire, and went in to check it out. Firefighters say they saw Powers leaving the building with a container of gasoline.
