Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- More than 250 volunteers turned out on Monday to make Las Vegas a better place to live.
They spent the day building a new playground for the Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada on Vegas Drive near North Decatur.
The children at the center designed the playground and helped create large murals near it.
Organizers hope the new playground will be a safe place for children to congregate and play.
