Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A "Shop and Swap" event is being May 2, 2013 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., to benefit local charity Safe Nest.

The event will take place at the Amanda Harris Gallery of Contemporary art and The Lady Silvia. The gallery will feature art by local artist, RC Wonderly with a sneak preview Thursday of his show "Circle Gets The Square." The grand opening of the exhibit will be the following day which is First Friday. The Lady Silvia will feature drink specials as well as art showcasing American Vagabond designs not yet seen by the public.

Proceeds from the American Vagabond Art will go directly to Safe Nest. In addition, women are encouraged to bring their gently used clothes to the event and swap with others. They can then style their new found items with pieces from the collection available for purchase. All remaining clothes donated will be given a new home at the Safe Nest shelter. "I want women to come and join us for an evening of art, shopping and charity. The goal is to celebrate the vagabond while helping out our community. It's the essence of an American Vagabond." Capitano explains.

The event is free and there is a suggested a donation of $10 towards Safe Nest. RSVP at AmericanVagabond.com
