Mother suspected of killing her children, turning knife on herself
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Action News has learned more information about the three people found dead inside a Southwest Valley home.
The Clark County Coroner's Office confirmed the identities of the three people. They were 40-year-old Hae Chong Serra, 11-year-old Hope Steam Serra and 9-year-old Cory Yoon Serra.
The investigation indicated the mother attacked the children inside the home and then turned the knife on herself.
The coroner said the cause of their deaths is pending.
The home is located on Wolf Pack Lane, near Mountains Edge and Fort Apache.
"We received a call at 1:35 p.m. [Friday] in regards to suspicious circumstances when a family member couldn't get a hold of a family member who lives in that residence and officers responded," said Metro Homicide Officer Lt. Ray Steiber.
When police arrived and the bodies were discovered, police blocked off the scene with crime tape.
"It's devastating to hear all this, especially out here. It's so quiet," said neighbor Ross Clark.
The circumstances surrounding the three deaths are still being investigated.
Action News will continue to post updates on this situation as they become available.
