North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 54-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in North Las Vegas on Friday evening.

Police said the crash happened near the Home Depot off West Craig Road and North Martin Luther King Boulevard just after 5:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man trapped inside a Ford sedan that had struck a light pole. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name has not been released.

The investigation showed the man was traveling eastbound on Craig, slowing to make a right hand turn into a shopping center.

A Hyundai SUV driven by 27-year-old Courtney Hildinger was also traveling east on Craig.

Police said Hildinger rear-ended the Ford, causing it to strike the light pole. Hildinger was not hurt in the crash.

Evidence showed Hildinger was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. She was arrested and booked on one felony count of DUI with death.
