Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Action News continues to cover the Boston Marathon bombings and the local runners who took part.
Many said they've been following the latest developments since they returned after experiencing the incredible act of violence first-hand.
They're home and trying to get back to life as they knew it, but for the runners who ran the Boston Marathon, they can't stop watching the ongoing manhunt in hopes of finding answers and closure.
Since crossing the finish line, Matt Paxton is back in his Henderson home and glued to the coverage.
He said knowing to seemingly normal brothers are allegedly responsible makes no sense to him.
"When it's the kid next door that nobody knows, it makes me fearful for myself, for my children, the schools we go to, everything we do," said Paxton.
Paxton said he hopes someday to find closure.
"There's no explanation as to why it's happening. I think it probably makes everyone feel a little less secure and unsafe that there's people out there that seem normal but capable of such mass casualties and harm," Paxton said.
For those marathon runners who live here in the Valley, this was all about trying to return to their normal routine.
Chiropractor Danny Schultz is back at work, but experiencing the tragic event personally compels him to learn who did this and why.
"I've been trying to keep up. It's hard, I have to take breaks every once in a while because it's overwhelming," said Dr. Schultz.
But for both runners, there are no answers that will bring solace to the victims and their families.
