Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Liberty High School juniors and seniors got a dramatic look at the dangers of drinking and driving on Thursday.
The "Every 15 Minutes" program re-creates the scene of a deadly drunk driving crash involving teenagers to show them what can happen if they drive impaired.
The program gets its name because on average, one person is killed in a drunk driving accident every 15 minutes in the United States.
After the demonstration, pre-selected students pretended to "die" by leaving class every 15 minutes throughout the day.
On Friday they'll talk about the experience and hear from a parent who lost a child in a drunk driving crash.
