Body found at Lake Mead identified as that of missing airman
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A body recovered from Lake Mead on Wednesday has been identified as that of Antonio Tucker.
Tucker was 28 years old when he disappeared in June while boating on Lake Mead.
He was on a rental boat with his girlfriend when investigators said he jumped in for a swim and never resurfaced.
Tucker was a U.S. Airman from Philadelphia who was stationed at Creech Air Force Base.
On Monday, a search group obtained a permit to look for his body in the lake. The next day they located what appeared to be a body, but were unable to retrieve it due to high winds.
National Park Rangers and Metro's Search and Rescue unit were able to recover the body just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
