Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A man's body was found in Lake Mead on Wednesday, according to a Lake Mead National Recreation Area spokesperson.
His identity has not been confirmed.
Authorities said a search and recovery organization obtained a permit to search for 28-year-old Antonio Tucker, an airman who disappeared last summer.
The search began on Monday in the area where Tucker was last seen.
On Tuesday, the group found a human using side scan sonar. They notified National Park Service rangers, who deployed an underwater vehicle with a camera to find the body.
High winds prevented the body from being recovered on Tuesday.
On Wednesday morning, officials returned to the scene and divers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Search and Rescue unit brought the body to the surface just before 11 a.m.
The body was confirmed to be that of an adult male. The Clark County Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy.
