Local man dies after crash near Decatur and Blue Diamond

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- One person is dead after a late-night crash at the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road in the southwest part of the Valley.

The crash involved two vehicles. It happened just after 11 p.m. April 15.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a 2006 Jeep Wrangler was traveling eastbound on Blue Diamond when it entered the intersection and hit a 2004 Hyundai sedan traveling northbound on Decatur.

The driver of the Hyundai, 57-year-old Robert George Williams of Las Vegas, died as a result of the collision.

The driver of the Jeep, 41-year-old Michael McNamee of Las Vegas, was arrested on suspected DUI and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
