Student commits suicide at Las Vegas technical school

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- An 18-year-old student committed suicide on a Las Vegas campus last week.
It happened on Wednesday, April 10 at East Career & Technical Academy.
The Clark County Coroner said Orlando Cano of Las Vegas died after hanging himself at the school.
The Clark County School District said Metro police informed the district they found the body of Cano on campus.
The district's crisis response team was at the campus to offer counseling to both students and staff.
In a statement the district said, "This serves as a reminder for our entire community to watch for signs of distress in our young people."
The district also said Cano attended schools in the Clark County School District from elementary until high school.
He was in 12th grade.
