Dust and wind advisories issued for Las Vegas Valley
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A dust advisory has been issued for Clark County by the Clark County Department of Air Quality.
Under windy conditions, localized or Valley-wide areas of blowing dust are likely to occur. Airborne dust is a form of inhalable air pollution called particulate matter and can aggravate respiratory diseases such as bronchitis or asthma.
At this time, unhealthy levels of dust are not occurring. Air quality officials will monitor conditions and will post an alert on the forecast page of their website if unhealthy levels do happen.
A wind advisory is in effect for Las Vegas until 3 a.m., according to weather.com. The winds are expected to increase in strength Monday afternoon and peak Monday evening.
They will then decrease overnight.
