Animal lovers head out to Pet-a-Palooza at Sunset Park
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Did you know almost half of all Las Vegas residents own a dog? Many of them celebrated their love of their pets at Pet-a-Palooza.
The 14th annual event wrapped up Saturday afternoon at Sunset Park in Las Vegas.
There was great live music, delicious food and shops at the Pet Festival.
For the first time, admission and parking were both free this year.
"For the first time of it being free, we were kind of wondering if people would show up. A lot of people showed up. It's probably one of our most successful Pet-a-Palooza's because how can you beat a free day out? You can't," said television and radio host Shawn Tempesta.
Organizers said hundreds of people and their pets from all around the Valley came out to Saturday's event.
