Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Foreclosure rates are falling across the country but not in Nevada.
Nationally, foreclosure rates are at the lowest they have been in years -- closing in on levels not seen since before the housing meltdown.
But it is a different story here in Nevada. The Silver State once again had the highest foreclosure rate in the country in the month of March.
One in every 306 housing units in the state received a default notice, according to the analysts at RealtyTrac. That is up 88 percent compared with the same time a year ago.
That is is an 18-month high for the state and a sign that the housing crisis is far from over.
Overall, RealtyTrac expects fewer foreclosures this year compared to last.
